What to Expect
EFC is a friendly, family-oriented environment. Whether you join us for a Community Group meeting or for our Family Gathering you can expect a warm welcome first of all. If your first visit is to our Family Gathering a greeter who will show around, answer your questions, and be available to make your experience a comfortable one. We will introduce you to others and your children will even have a chance to meet others their own age.
PRACTICAL PREACHING AND TEACHING
We believe in teaching the good news of the gospel in a personal, practical, and challenging way. Therefore we encourage everyone to bring a Bible if they have one. There are extra Bibles available for those who need one. The sermons can be classified as expository in approach. Our breakout teachers strive to present a creative and engaging lesson that follows the sermon text so that the whole family can share in the learning together.
FAMILY WORSHIP EXPERIENCE
Every age is welcome into our family worship time. We strive to facilitate a time that honors Jesus Christ through music, videos, stories, prayer, testimonies, and communion. We also recognize that some children have difficult days and some parents are better able to worship while their little one is care for. Therefore we have two experienced and skilled teachers who care for those 5 years and younger during the Family Gathering. Following our family worship time the children experience an age-graded breakout time during the sermon. The preschool, elementary, and middle schoolers are led by a gifted, caring team of teachers in their own classroom.
GIVING AND GENEROSITY
Everett Family Church is supported by it’s members who call EFC home, and you can expect that no one will try to pressure to make a contribution. We do not collect an offering during the service but provide a “Joy Box” for our member’s use before or after the service. We give as an act of worship in response to God’s generosity! We use a portion of our gifts for the Hands of Hope food bank, emergency aid to families within our church, and missions work local and abroad.
